Seriously though, this book is a great practical guide for the NCO or junior officer. Most leadership books talk about such broad concepts such as initiative or integrity (which are important) but this one talks about real hands on techniques that’ll help the military leader win in battle.

I talked to recruiters yesterday and they had this book, but they didnt give it to me since it is theirs and not for propoganda. So i picked it up in the library and have read the first ten pages and am already amazed at what they are doing.

I am the granddaughter of the late Col. Dandridge M. Malone, and he was, by far, the most amazing man I have ever known. He believed that the soldier was the most important part of the army, and dedicated his life to bringing this to light. He chose not to be promoted to General when the opportunity arose. A great man needn’t look at his rank to know he is great.

If you read one book on leadership in your entire life, this should be the one. Reference it often and always keep it’s teachings in the back of your mind.
